Kathryn, Mop & I were tossing around the idea of getting together after a long hiatus. Kathryn suggested something different other than the usual sit, eat & chat. We went canoeing on the Shenandoah River for a few hours. It had been a long time since we'd been in a canoe & last time Beth got in one it was tipped. Fun was had by all & it was actually a bit easiler than we'd all expected & we barely got wet. The place we went to was about 1 1/2 hours away from NOVA in Bentonville, VA. See the link below for the canoe company's web site. Excuse poor quality of canoeing pictures, used a disposable waterprrof camera that was old so the film performed poorly.

Then a few weeks later we went for a few short (but in some cases STEEP & rocky) hikes in Shenandoah National Park. Barefence Mtn, Dark Hollow Falls & an overlook at Skyland. It was a very nice day followed killer storms for the drive back.
